About new stages of cooperation with Turkish universities


“ A delegation led by Abdullah Eren, the head of the Department of Diasporas and compatriots abroad under the Turkish government visited Alisher Navo’i Tashkent State University of the Uzbek Language and Literature on November 12, 2019. The primary purpose of this visit is to develop a broader cooperation in the fields of science, education and culture between the fraternal Uzbek and Turkish nations. ”

The guests were welcomed by the Rector of Alisher Navo’i Tashkent State University of the Uzbek Language and Literature Shuhrat Sirojiddinov. During the conversation, the guests learned more about the ancient and rich history of the Uzbek people. Friendship relations between the governments of Turkey and Uzbekistan are actively developing between the two countries among higher education institutions of the two countries. Today, Alisher Navo’i Tashkent State University of the Uzbek Language and Literature has established partnerships with a number of prestigious universities in Turkey; a joint masters’ degree project has been implemented and more than 50 students have been to prestigious universities of Turkey according to academic exchange programmes. In the current academic year, it is expected that about 200 of our students will be sent to the prestigious universities in Turkey under the "Mavlono" program. In turn, students from the partner universities of Turkey can also visit TSUULL. Abdullah Eren also stated that he would provide all possible assistance to deepen this cooperation. Now graduates of TSUULL will be able to get an opportunity to continue their masters’ degree in Turkish universities with privilege. These privileges allow selected students according to contest to study at Turkish University for free and provide scholarships. At the end of the conversation, the gifts were presented as a symbol of mutual cooperation, and agreements were expected to be officially approved soon.
